WATCHWORD OF PROGETTO FUOCO 2024
Appointment at Verona Exhibition Centre from 28 February to 2 March 2024
A sector, that of biomass heating, that looks to the future with confidence, in the midst of the drive towards technological innovation and energy efficiency, and that will meet at Progetto Fuoco, the most important world trade-show in the sector, scheduled at Veronafiere from 28 February to 2 March 2024.
Innovation, the great protagonist of the event, will be featured in three initiatives:
- the Innovation Village, which will bring together the best Italian and European start-ups,
- the third edition «Give Me Fire – Progetto Fuoco Startup Award», the best technology award in the industry,
- and the Hackathon, a true marathon of young innovators.
The call for start-ups has just opened these days and the deadline for submitting applications is 6 p.m. on 28 October 2023 (registration link).
The Innovation Village and the Startup Award
The best Italian and European technological solutions in the sector will find a place in the Innovation Village, an area where the most significant innovative companies will talk about their ideas and present their products to potential partners and investors. All the start-ups present at the Innovation Village will take part in «Give Me Fire – Progetto Fuoco Startup Award», the prize – promoted by Progetto Fuoco and Blum, in collaboration with Aiel – for the technological solution deemed to have the greatest impact by a jury of experts.
The aim of the award is to help small, innovative businesses to enter the market quickly by putting them in contact with large companies in the biomass heating sector. The competing projects will cover different areas, such as new forms of fuels, tech systems for detecting and containing emissions, home automation apps and software, and artificial intelligence systems applied to stoves, fireplaces and boilers. The start-ups will compete in pitches, i.e. short presentations in which they will have to demonstrate the validity of their product and answer questions from the jury and the audience quickly and brilliantly.
